Week 1 - Exercise 1.2 Analysis of Logos

The apple logo is something i've grown up with. Our first computer was a black and white macintosh...very little in terms of the logo has changed over the years.
As a logo, you can't get much simpler or more appealing. It's lines and shapes are calm, friendly, identifies the company easily and, over the years, has become possibly the most famous logo on the planet. It does however have its draw backs...for instance, if for some reason you've b
een living under a rock for the last decade or something there is no way you would ever know that this bitten apple represents one of the worlds largest computer companies...but that's what billions of dollars in advertising are for.
Emotionally, the logo reminds me of a good user experience, well designed products (most of the time) and something that 'just works'. Taking the emotion out of the picture, the logo really isn't anything special and doesn't really represent what the business is or are about. It is simple though, just like macs!

Insight clothing...comfortable, good looking, reasonably priced, fresh and fun. The logo isnt anything AMAZING or mind blowing but i think its simplicity sells. Its four shapes somewhat make up a window, maybe some kinda enjoying looking at life window...i dunno. I especially like the construction of the font, its modern and represents what they do with their clothing...something different to everyone else.
